Questions & Answers on
recovering from grief*
Questions asked during bereavement
counseting are answered by the editor cf
Afterioss , the grief-recovery letter.
Q. I am several months past my
loss now. Most days I do very
well. Then all of a sadden I
oecoii* overwaeanea. n csdms
me to fed sad and dnwand aQ
over again. Is this normal?
A. Certainly. Grief can be analo
gous to waves hitting on the short.
As we wort through our grief, the
waves begin to subside. It often
happens that near special days
such as birthdays, anniversaries or
holidays another wave will come.
If we know this is normal and part
of our grief process, we can re
cover from the waves sooner.
