North Forsyth takes early lead in summer basketball

After one week of play, North
Forsyth stands at the top of the
standings in the High School
Summer Basketball League with
a perfect 4-0 mark. .
In Tuesday's action. North
made it four in a row with an
80-58 victory over the Titans.
Kendruck Marshall paced North
with 23 points. Rusty Street fol
lowed up with 13 points, while
Dameon Foster and Kawaski
Penn chipped in with 12 and 11
points respectively.
The top scorers for West
. Forsyth were Randy Clark (17
points) and Mike Ruffin (11
points).
In the second game on Tues
day, Glenn's Bobcats earned
their first victory of the summer
by topping Carver, 59-54. Dar
rell Johnson led a balanced
attack for the B'cats with 15
points. Terry Mebane tallied J 4
points and Ezera Jones added 11
points.

play for the Hickory team that
qualified to play in the AAU
National Basketball Tbumament
in the 1 1 and Under Division.

Express earn its first-ever berth
to the national tournament.
The lis tournament will
played at Cocoa Beach, Fla.
starting July 25.
