Twelve young ladies and their marshals participat ed in activities which culminated in the formal presentation ball. This year's participants were Dominique Benson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Benson, and her marshal, Jiwan Mack; Tara Brayboy, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Brayboy, and her marshal, Douglas Darden; Crystal Covington, daughter of Mr. Michael Covington and Ms. Nora Covington, and her marshal, Curtis Little; LaShema Funderburk, grand daughter of. Tavyn Richardson is the group's mascot and served a petal bearer. Other members are India Brim, Tonya Gentry, and Monika Joyce. Soror Larnettra Richardson is advi sor and Soror Ida Michael is co advisor. The Rosebuds were officially established in 1969. Each member is challenged to achieve their worthwhile goals, seek cultural enrichment, achieve higher academ ic levels through scholastic achieve ment. Gamma Phi Delta is a sorori ty of business and professional women with the purpose of promot ing better understanding between women of all races and creeds, fos tering higher education through encouragement and financial aid, promoting cultural enrichment, and to give service to mankind.
