OFFENSIVE BACK Livingstone College run ning back Rob Clodfelter had 36 carries for 185 yards and two TDs in the Bears' 21-13 win over Bowie State. Clodfelter is a 5-9, 170 points junior from Lexing ton. RECEIVER Virginia State wide receiv er Reraus James caught seven passes for 125 yards and one touchdown in the Trojans 28-21 victory over Norfolk State. James is a 5-10, 170 pounds junior from Petersburg, Va. OFFENSE Florida A&M quarterback Keith Brown completed 24 of 39 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns. Brown had TD passes of 54, 10 and 4 yards in A&M's 28-17 win over Geor gia Southern. The 6-1, 180 pounds Gainesville, Fla. junior also ran for a score. DEFENSE Florida A&M end Lee Greene and South Carolina State nose tackle Anthony Cook. Greene led the Rattlers ; defense with 10 tackles, two * quarterback sacks and one forced fumble. Greene is a 6-3, 245 pounds senior from Talla hassee, Fla. In SC State's 42-17 win over Newberry College, Cook con tributed 13 tackles (including eight solos) and one sack. Cook is a 6^4, 275 pounds sophomore from Bennetteville, SC. OFFENSIVE UN EM AN North Carolina A&T tight end James Lancaster keyed the blocking that led to the Aggies amassing 519 total offensive yards in their 49-7 win over North Carolina Central. Lancaster also caught three passes for 49 yards, which f included a seven-yard TD recep tion. Lancaster is a 6-0, 250 pounds senior from Rocky Mount. ROOKIE Delaware State linebacker Lloyd Badson registered six solo tackles and one sack in the Hornets' 54-0 tirumph over Cheyney State. Badson, 6-1, 215 pounds, is from New Castle, Del. NOTABLE PERFORMANCES Bethune-Cookman quar , terback Jermaine Hall com pleted 18 of 33 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Howard University defensive end James Spears had 12 tack les and defensive back Tim Watson contributed 10 hits and one sack. Florida A&M wide receiv er Terry Mickens caught 13 passes for 168 yards. Delaware State running back Bert Wat son rushed nine times for 95 yards and scored on a 47-yard run. North Carolina A&T run ning back Barry Turner rushed for 100 yards and a score on 12 carries. South Carolina State quarterback Marvin Marshall threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for one touchdown. DEFENSIVE LINEMAN Elizabeth City State defen sive end Everette Mclver had 16 tackles (eight solos, eight assisted) plus two QB sacks in the Vikings loss to Winston-Salem State. Mclver is a 6-6, 310 pounds senior from Ridgebury, SC. DEFENSIVE BACK Hampton University free safety Melvin Crawford returned three interceptions for 56 yards, including, a 35-yard touchdown in the Pirates 48-6 win over Johnson C. Smith. He also had three solo tackles and one fumble recovery. Crawford is a 6-0, 170 pounds sophomore from Germantown, Md. NEWCOMER Winston-Salem State run ning back Richard Huntley had 16 carries for 124 yards, including a 61-yard TD run in WSSU's opening day victory. Huntley is a 6-1, 215 pounds freshman from Monroe. COACH Livingstone College coach Delano Tucker guided the Bears to a season opening 21-13 victory over Bowie State. His blocking paved the way for the Rams to rush for 201 yards in their 27-18 triumph. Kelley is a 6-4, 263 pounds senior from Cleveland, Ohio who is a pre-season, All-CIAA pick. In '91, Goodman made second team, all-conference. Goodman also takes care of business when it comes to academics. For the last two semesters, he has made the Dean's Ust. His current grade point average is a very respectable 2.7.
