received. The sessions were con
ducted by the pastor, Seth O.
Lartey, and Dr. Jewett L. Walker,
former secretary-treasurer of the
Home Mission, Brotherhood Pen
^ sions and Ministerial Relief of the
A.M.E. Zion Church.
Others participating in the ses
sions were: the John Ijames Men's
class; the Central Bible class; the
Intermediate class; the Roxie Baxter
class; and Brother Louis Hunter Jr..
Brother Aaron Orr, Sister Pamela
Phillips, the Rev. Nancetta Myers,
and the Rev. Albert Downing.
The institute ended with a Love
Feast and rededication service, fol
lowed by a fellowship meal pre
pared by Sister Elsie Burke.
The weeklong event's theme
was "Building a Unified Church."

? The Tanglewood Festival of Lights, the
region's only large-scale, drive-through holiday
light display, will be held Nov. 16 through Jan.
3. The family festival features 150,000 lights in
over 20 colorful exhibits along a two-mile tract
within the park. The lights will be displayed
nightly from 5:30-11 p.m. Vehicles will drive
through Tanglewood Park, which has been con
verted to a magical lighted winter wonderland.
The cost is $6 per car, $12 per van, $40 per bus
load. Tickets may be purchased in advance at
Crown Drug locations or nightly at the Tangle
