Court of Forsyth County, North Carolina, entered on
the 29th day of June, 1993, made in ESTATE OF
MABLE MITCHELL LOWERY vs. BARRIE YVONNE
MITCHELL and TYRONE LEE MITCHELL, the under
signed, who was by said Order appointed Commis
sioner to sell the lands described in the petition, will
offer for public sale to the highest bidder for cash on
the 3rd day of August, 1993, at 12:00 o'clock noon at
Forsyth County Hall of Justice, 2nd floor, Winston
Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, real property
of the deoeased, more particularly described in Deed

Sealed proposals will be received publicly and
read by the Davidson County Board of Education in the
office of the Superintendent, located in Paul F Evans
Administrative Center, County School Board, Lexington,
North Carolina at 3:00 p.m., July 20, 1993. for the con
struction of Additions and Renovations at Silver Valley
and Reeds Elementary Schools.
Plans, specifications, and contract documents will
be available for inspection during business hours from
one week of June 21st until bids are opened, at the fol
lowing locations; in the offices of Associated General
Contractors, Charlotte, N.C.; Greensboro, N.C., and
Raleigh, N.C., FW. Dodge Corporation, Charlotte, N.C.,
Greensboro, N.C., and Raleigh, N.C.or copies may be
secured from Paul Briggs Architect, Talbert Boulevard,
Lexington, N.C. upon deposit of $200.00 in cash or
check for a complete first set (plans and specs); Full
deposit refundable to contractors submitting a Bona
Fide Bid; 50 percent of deposited amount refundable to
contractors not submitting a Bona Fide Bid. Second set
(plans only) $100.00 deposit, $50.00 refundable upon
submitting a Bona Fide bid and return of plans.
A description of work follows:
At Silver Valley. Work will consist of Site Develop
ment and construction of cafeteria, media center and
related spaces of approximatety8,500 sq. ft. Building is
single-story, slab-on-grade of steel and masonry. At
Reeds, work wiH consist of site development and con
struction of classrooms, cafeteria and related spaces of
approximately 12,800 sq. ft.
Separate proposals will be received on the follow
ing: General Contract, Mechanical (Heating, Air condi
tioning-ventilation) Contract, Plumbing Contract and
Electrical Contract. All contractors shall be ftfoperly
licensed as applicable under the state laws governing
their respective trades. Single prime proposals will be
accepted inciutfng General, Plumbing, HVAC, and Elec
trical as outlined in N.C. General Statutes. I
Proposals shall be accompanied by a deposit of
cash, cashier's check or certified check in an amount
equal to not less than 5 percent of the proposal or by a
bid bind executed by a corporate surety licensed under
the laws of North Carolina as provided by G.S. 143-129.
The successful contractor will be required to give a
performance bond and labor and material payment as
provided by Chapter 3, Article 44A of the General
Statutes of North Carolina.
The Davidson County School Board reserves the
right to reject any and all bkJs. No bid may be withdrawn
for 30 days after the date for opening bids.

The Transportation Advisory Committee
(TAC) of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County is
accepting written public comments regarding
the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Urban
Area 1994-2000 Transportation Improvement
Program (TIP). The draft TIP can be
reviewed in all public libraries, all town
halls, the NC Department of Transportation
Division Office (Cloverdale Ave.), and at the
Winston-Salem City Hall in the Department
of Transportation, (Room 380). Comments
'Nvill be accepted from July 22 until 5:00 P.M.,
Monday, August 23, 1993. The TAC will
