Alu minized plastic film can also be Hudley Family Holds Reunion Louise Moon The Hudley family, descen dants of Edmond and Bertha Davis Hudley, held its reunion July 17-18 in Winston-Salem. Nearly 95 peo ple attended. Relatives came from as far away as Meriden, Conn., and ages ranged from 5 months to 64 years old. The family held a picnic at Westinghouse Recreation Center on July 17. A banquet was held that evening at the Holiday Inn West on South Hawthorne Road. The family worshiped on Sun day at Macedonia T. Church of God Inc., where they presented a ^monetary contribution to the church's offering. Family members sat for a group photograph after service. While at the banquet, family members entertained the group with a reading of the family roots, musical solos, poetry, a memorial tribute to deceased a recognition of different generations. Mary Louise McClain Alford, a fifth-generation descendent, delivered the speech "The Hudley Family: Together We Stand." The younger children in the family were used to spell out "The First Hudley Family Reunion," and the oldest and youngest members were recognized and honored with framed certificates. A commemora tive plaque was presented to the oldest, and a U.S. Savings Bond was presented to the youngest Members were recognized for distinguished military service in the Vietnam War, the U.S. Air Force, the foreign service, the Army and other duties in Germany. Family members were given souvenir name tags.
