Baseball Championship Tourney Held The Hants Hosiery 16-and under baseball squad captured the 1993 City Championship last week by edging Rupert Bell Recre ation Center 6-5 in an action-packed game. Fans were on the edge of their seats in the top of the last inning with the Hosiery Hitmen up by one run and a score of 6-5, when there were two outs and Rupert Bell had the bases loaded, needing only a sin gle run to tie the game. But the Hitmen's pitcher Thomas Tuttle was up for the chal lenge, as he threw a chance pitch striking out the Bell batter on a curve. According to Hosiery coach Art B levins, the Hitmen won the cham pionship in one of the best games of the summer. Tuttle, Aaron King, Carl Potter and Derek Spencer led the Hosiery's hitting, while Rodney Monor, Ant wan Leak and Wille Gore led Rupert Bell. The Hosiery 13-and-under Hitmen walloped Little Creek 16 5 to capture the City Championship. The Hitmen then went on a hit ting barage against the Little Creek pitcher, with Penn, James Wright, Amick Horn, Chris Black well, Matt Moore and Eddy Forest pounding the ball for extra base hits.
