Seated proposals will be received by the Housing
Authority of the City of Winston-Salem for furnishing entry
doors/trames/hardwsr* snd storm doors until 2 00 p m
May 19, 1994 at the Central Office 901 Cleveland Avenue
Winston-Saiem NC, and immediately thereafter publicly
opened and read
Bids are to include furnishing 420 entry
doors/frames. hardware and 1.076 storm doors, delivered to
the owner's warehouse located at 512 North Mam Street.
Winston-Salem, NC. and all applicable sales and other
taxes freight costs and all other associated costs
Bid prices will be received individually and contracts will
be awarded to the low bidder for each of the following (1)
Entry Doors. (2). Storm Doors (3) Entry Door Frames, (4)
Hardware Package "A", and (5) Hardware Package "B"
The Bidding Documents will be available for inspection in
the office of Walter Robbs Callahan & Pierce. Architects.

Greensboro Office of F W Dodge Corporation, the Tnad
Office of the Associated General Contractors of Amenca and
the Winston-Salem Office of The Minonty and Women Busi

by those qualified and who will submit a bid upon deposit of
Fifty Dollars ($50 00) in cash or certified check The deposit
will be returned to material contractors submitting bids, pro
vided all documents are returned in good condition within

and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12

feasible, opportunities for training and employment be given
to lower income residents of the area of the Section 3 cov
ered project, and contracts for ^ork in connection with the
project be awarded to business concerns which are located
in, or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the
area of the Section 3 covered project
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit '
or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company
insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an
amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the pro
posal or in lieu thereof, a bidder may offer a bid bond of five
percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company
licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the
contract in accordance with the bid bond Said deposit shall'
be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of
failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within
ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as
