4/ Presbyterian Men of Dellabrook Church to /Hold Celebration The Presbyterian Men of Dellabrook Presbyterian Church will celebrate Men's Day on Sun - day during the 11 a.m. worship service. Participants on the programs are: Emery L. Ra^nn. speaker; Charles Burns, lay leader and soloist; Spencer Glenn, president and director of men's chorus; Fredrick Terry, children's message an^ vice president; Keith Bvrd, spe cial music; Larry Little, special pre-, sentation; and the Rev. Carlton A.G. E vers ley, pastor. ?- ^ ? Rann is a graduate of Lincoln University in Oxford. Pa., with a degree in political science. Howard University School of Law. He also enrolled in a Master of Public Affairs program at UNC-G. ? Prior to coming to Winston Salem in 1987 to become director of the Winston-Salem Human ReJa tions Department, Rann held the following positions. Law Clerk with Chambers. Stein. Ferguson & Bec ton, P.A.; Legislative Aide to Con gressman James G. Martin in Wash ington, D.C.; Law Clerk with the Mecklenburg County Legal Aid Society: Investigative Aide with the Montgomery County Office of Con sumer Affairs; Staff Associate/Pub lic Benefits Coordinator for the Central Carolina Legal Service; Senior Representative for the Social Security Advocates; director, Landownership Information Project; Resettlement Program Coordinator for the Lutheran Family Services - Greensboro; and special assistant for Minority Affairs for State of North Carolina. . > Rann has a number of profes sional and civic affiliations. He has received several distinguished hon ors. including the Reginald H. Smith Community Law Fellow. United Negro College Fund Merito rious Service Award and a Gover nor's Certificate of Service.; Rann is a native of Charlotte. He is married to RaVonda Dalton Rann. They have two children, Eric and Chris. Emery is the son of Dr. Emery L. Rann Jr. and the late Mar gretha Chambers Rann. He is mem ber of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity., The theme for the Men's Day program is "Boys to Men." The men will honor James F. Ford, the only living male charter member of Dellabrook Presbyterian Church. He has served the local church, in three leadership posi tions. At Dellabrook, Ford served as a Deacon. Elder, church treasurer, church school teacher and chaired many committees. He recently retired from his milk distributing business due to illness. Little will make a presentation , to James F. "The Milkman" Ford. A reception will follow the ser vice. The men. will sponsors a "Family Night Cookout" at the church tomorrow at 7 p.m. Young men in the community are particu larly . invited to both activities. Bryon C.
