Gov. Jim Hunt s Names Richard Davis to Public Employee Board Gov. J inj Hunt has named Richard Davis of Winston to the board of trustees of the Public Employee .Deferred Compensation Plan. The' -seven-member board oversees the deferred compensation plan for state employees, and it advises teachers and state employ ees on opportunities to invest in deferred funds .associated with life1 insurance, fixed or variable annu ities, retirement income and other investments. Davis is owner of Davis Management Services, an accounting and consulting firm in Winston-Salem. ? 95% Passes Exam May graduates of Winston Salem State University's nursing program pasted a 95 percent pass ing rate on the licensure exam for the quarter ending Junej 30. According to the North Carolina Board of Nursing. 38 of the 40 students who took the test over the last three months, had passed it.. Dr. Sylvia Flack.. WSSU's director of the division of nursing and allied health, said today that by the end of the year a total of 79 graduate's will have taken the nursing boards WSSU graduates and gradu ates from around country were the first _io take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLHX) on a computer, known as computerized adaptive testing. The change from taking the examina tion manually took effect in April. A Auditions Held The Little Theatre of Winston Salem is holding auditions for The Odd Couple on Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. The two main role^ are Oscar Madison, the sloppy sportswriter. and Felix Ungar. his overly neat, compulsive friend. There are roles for four men to play Speed. Murray. Roy and Vinnie, who are Felix and Oscar's poker buddies. There are also roles for two women to play Gwendolyn and Cecily early 30s. The Odd Couple had a suc cessful run on Broadway and was made into a movie in 1968. Television followed with a series which ran for eight years.
