She was born on June 3, 1912 to the late Robert and Martha McLaughlin of Raleigh. She was the last of 20 children. , ? She received her education in Raleigh, and later relocated to Charlotte in 1929 wheri she joined the United House of Prayer For All People where she was active in such organiza tions as the Usher Board. She moved to Philadelphia in 1959 and later moved back to Winston-Salem in 1988. ! He was born in Forsyth County on April 24, 1939 to the late Luther and Geneva Myers. He was a retired painter. - He is survivedby one daughter. Katie Mae Myers; three sons, Bobby E. Myers, Jr., Alfonso Myers and Limuel A. Jonathan Jamal Payne, 2053 Thurmond Street, Winston-Salem, died on Aug. 24 at NC Baptist Hospital, / He was a native of Bridgeport, Conn, born on Sept. 17, 1968 and had lived in Winston-Salem for ten years. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, was a graduate of Mount Tabor High School, Class of 1986 and attended Forsyth Technical Community College. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army having served for six years in a communications capaci ty. He had tours in Germany and in the Gulf War. He was rec ognized for expert marksmanship and awarded several ribbons including the Southwest Asia Kuwait Liberation Medal. He is survived by his mother.
