A Happy Holidays to All from Us at HAWS f
During this happy time, we can all look
back and find something of value for which to
give many shanks Many have moved from
emergency situations, which may have even led
to homplessness, to a decent sanitary apartment
in one of the several housing developments
under the Housing Authority of Winston
Salem's management. Others who have the
privilege of living in public housing enjoyed
activities and programs that fostered a spirit of
community and fellowship. Summer programs
for youth offered everything from camping
experiences to golf at Tanglewood Park. Our
seniors and other adults were busy with various
'stimulating and educational activities. We took
trips, had community days, staff cleaned the all
of our developments, real economic develop
ment partnerships were formed, our agency 's
report 6ard moved into the high performance
category, and customer service remains at the
heart and center of what we do here.
Much of this is because of the dedicated
professionals who work a HAWS ... and we
could not have achieved these things without the
leadership of our executive director, Arthur S.
Milligan Jr. As he leaves to take on an even
greater challenge, we wish him God's richest
blessings. Love, Peace and Joy to each of you.
