They set a back screen and alley-oop for the 5 11 Caldwell, who caught the ball in front of the rim, but his layup bounced off the back of the riifl sending the game into overtime. In the extra period, Page took an early 73-69 lead behind the play of Wright. Mount Tabor cut the gap to 73-71 before Wright took a feed from Antonio Kirkpatrick and scored in the paint to make it 75-71. Caldwell then closed the gap to 75-73 before Edwards' heroics. besides Wright's 34, Chip Peele scored 24, Kirkpatrick had seven and Edwards added five. Myron Kiel, Brandon Clif ford and Steve Howard had four each. Derick Singleton scored 29 points to pace Mount Tabor. Caldwell scored 19 points in a losing effort and Aaron Bailey added 12.
