RENOVATIONS AND ALTERATIONS
TECHNOLOGY CENTER

BOARD OF EDUCATION
GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA
Sealed proposals will be received by the
Guilford County Board of Education until 2:00
P.M. local time on January 22, 1998, at the
Purchasing Department, 900 English Road,
High Point, North Carolina 27262, and immedi
ately thereafter publicly opened and read for
renovations and alterations to the Guilford
County Schools Technology Center, 425
Prescott Street, Greensboro, North Carolina
27401
The resulting contract will be to furnish all labor,
supervision, materials and equipment
necessary to perform the work as shown on the
plans and described in the project
specifications.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled
closing of bids for a period of 45 days.
Each proposal must be made on the blank bid
form provided and must be enclosed in a
sealed envelope and addressed to Barbara
Durham, Purchasing Department, 900 English
Road, High Point, North Carolina 27262. The
name and address of the bidder must be plainly
written on the outside of the envelope and the
envelope marked ONLY as "Bid No. 2256 -
(Insert trade) Bid for Renovations and
Alterations to the Guilford County Schools
Technology Center, Guilford County Board of
Education, Greensboro, North Carolina".
Proposals must be accompanied by a 5% bid
deposit in the form of (1) cash, (2) cashier's
check, (3) certified check, or (4) a bid bond exe
cuted by a corporate surety licensed under the
laws of North Carolina to execute such bond.
Performance and Labor Materials Payment
Bonds will be required in the amount of 100%
of the contract price.

the plans and specifications may be obtained

Friday during normal office hours. Plan deposit
$100.00 per set, refundable to bonafide bidders.
A pre proposal meeting will be held at the site
of the work at the following time and date
10:00 A.M. local time on January 6,1998.

this construction project. The Guilford County
Board of Education awards public contracts
without regard to race, religion, color, creed,

Chapter 87- General Statutes of North Carolina
The Guilford County School System reserves
