AiuMompen for 'Murder in the Cathedral'
The Collective Theatre Company is
announcing public auditions for the upcom
ing production of 'Murder in the
Cathedral,' by T.S. Eliot. The production
will be updated to 1968 to reflect Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. and the civil rights era- The
production will be presented in Winston
Salem Feb. 12, 13 and 14 at Ooler
Metropolitan AME Zion Church in
Winston-Salem, before moving on to other
Cities such as Charlotte, Durham, and
Memphis.
Twenty roles range from Archbishop
Thomas Beckett to a large chorus, which
will mainly sing gospel songs and Negro
spirituals. Acton of all races, ages and gen
ders are needed, All positions will be paid.
Acton need to bring a head-shot and a
recent resume. All acton will read parts
from the script.
The Audition will be held at the Hewitt
Business Center at Old Salem (1001 S.
Marshall St., across from Leon's Cafe) from
7 to 9, Jan. 5, 1998.
