I'll probably do that better next semester. I did good on tests so they knew me, but I should have been on more of a personal level with them." One of his favorite classes was algebra and trigonometry. "I liked my professor's style," Graham said. "If you didn't do well in his class it's all your fault, no ifs ands or buts about it. "I'll make sure I get him in every math class I take." But, he hasn't liked all of his classes. V "I had one professor that was crazy," Graham said. "He didn't do anything but straight lecture. You had to know what we went over in the last class and know the next 20 definitions. Every once in a while he'd tell us to look at this chart in the book but that's it." Graham struggled in the class early in the semester, but as time went on he got the hang of things and finished up strong. Overall though, he says he has enjoyed the academic chal lenges. "I like it a whole lot better than high school," Graham said. "Mainly because you can pick what time you want to study. You can get up early to study or stay up late." Graham also found time to have fun as well.He was among the thousands of students and alumni that filled the stands at every home football game. "I love the football games," he said. "I like the "Aggie pride" chant. Whether we win or lose, we have a party." He had a blast at homecom ing although he only attended the step show and the game. "What people have to realize is that it cost money to go to these events," Graham said. "You could spend $50 easily." Graham likes to have a good time just like the next person but says he's very focused on his studies and his participation in Alobeaem, an accounting club. Through Alobeaem he has become more politically aware. Because he was a student gov ernment representative for Alobeaem, Graham attended several meetings and is planning to participate in a student-led boycott of Four Seasons Mall. A&T students say mall security guards have targeted them and harassed them while shopping. Graham says he can identify. "I know I get looks when 1 go into Four Seasons Mall,'* he said. "I just don't feel comfort able, and I don't want that." As tough as his first semester has been, he says A&T is home. "It feels like my home is here now," he said. "When 1 go to Hickory it feels like I'm visiting. I * am definitely at the right place. I love A&T."
