the services, which set the mood of
celebration. Suzaona Tate prayed
one of those old-time prayers that
really make you thank God.
Dorothy Stroud gave the welcome.
Music began with the Children's
Choir of Goler Memorial, under
the direction of Mary Wilkerson

They lifted their voices with music

Jackie Moore, local minister of
Goler Memorial, put the icing on
the cake that Minister Roberts
baked on Saturday. The service
was spirit-filled as family and
church members, friends of the
community and guests praised
God in spirit and truth with their
"amens" and applause. Moore
used as her subject "Stop, Look
and Listen," which applied to
everyone. The presidents gave
closing remarks and thanks. Rev.
Hunt gave the benediction.

The Home Mission Society of Gofer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church
Williams did an outstanding job in
coordinating the 40th anniversary
celebration of the Home Mission
Society. The guests and congrega
tion certainly enjoyed this memo
rable occasion. Williams truly
loves the Lord, enjoys serving her
pastor and church family, and
enjoys being a tremendous bless
ing to this community. Our hats
are off to such dedication and
Christian discipleship as displayed
by Sister Williams. To God be the
glory for the things he has done.
