Since 1974, The Chronicle has carried the torch
WW for African American issues. And,
we couldn't have done it without your
support. There is no better way to celebrate
The Chronicles "family heritage" than our
annual Family Day. ?
We're providing lots of spark!

? A Day Filled With Entertainment:
Our celebration will include star-studded
entertainment such as national recording artist,
Sybil. Our Hst of great local stars includes:
Eboniqne, the Mt. Olive Mass Choir, the
Sunshine Group from Bethlehem Baptist W/ ^fT^ '
Church Youth Choir and Winston Lake YMCA's ~W

of all ages, including clowns, face painters,
children's crafts, storytellers and much more. Special
thanks to Barnes & Noble and the YMCA for their help.

pre-register, and great door prizes all day long.
The 25th Anniversary at Family Day is more than just fun and
games. There are special ceremonies with an important purpose
in mind.. .passing the torch to a new generation.
Here's how: <
? Benefit: The Chronicle joins with our sponsors for the event
in providing grants to local organizations dedicated to saving
our childern. It's all in support of Governor Hunt's Mentoring
Initiative. Watch for details on the special presentation of
grants during the day.
? Recognition: We are family, and this is our chance to v
celebrate The Chronicle family. Experience a special
presentation to key supportors of The Chronicle over the ?
past 25 years. ?

? Torch Lighting and Luminary Ceremony: .'One person
from the community will help kick off the event with a torch ?
lighting ceremony. We'll end the day with a special luminary
; ' ceremony, remembering important "torch bearers" in our
community..:folks who have helped:fan the flame through
their contributions to our community "in ^ kjaxls of ways.
