Vikings got their Final win of the day in
the Jr. Pee Wee game, when they took a

The Vikings didn't crown a king or
queen this year. Rather, the Vikings
football players presented each cheer
leader with a rose. Fans in attendance
were also treated to a performance by
the Marching 100, which was the orga
nization's special guests.
Renee Pugh headed the homecom
ing committee. Others who worked with
her included Sonja McCorkle and Shari
Miles, who said they would Ike the

Vikings.
Cuthbertson passed for a 15-yard
touchdown to Rashaun Edmonds and
led the defensive effort with eight tack

quarterback for a safety.
Coach Albert Wright said his team's
defensive intensity keyed the win.
"Overall, my team played well after
last week's performance," Wright said.
"Now I know our kids are ready to get
better on defense.
"Offensively, I was glad to see coach
Tim Bess get the offense going, and the
offensive line blocked well. Still, we have
lots of injuries to heal over the next few
week's. Our prayers go out to Taurean
Holland, who broke his left ankle and
had to be operated on. I'm glad to see
he's OK. but he will be missed on the
offensive and defensive lines."
Wright pointed to the play of Cook,
Jeremy Acker, Corey McCann, Mario
Moses, James Williams and Keith
Carter.

and the team," he said. "This a cross
town rivalry."

defensive game.

heart and pride in winning the game,"

the Vikings tied the game in the third
quarter. My coaches and I are very
proud of them."
