Department has many
services to help you
and your neighbors!
Greg Parker is a r
housing inspector 1
with the Winston
Salem Housing and
Neighborhood
Services Department.
tach year Greg and the
15 other housing inspectors conduct
about 19,000 inspections in the city. They
look to see that houses are properly
maintained, keep an eye out for overgrown
and trash-filled vacant lots, and arrange to
have vacant cars towed away to keep
neighborhoods looking their best.
Greg has been a housing inspector for
three years. He enjoys his work. "We can
make a difference in the community. We
help people who are having problems with
housing and help make their landlords
aware of repairs that need to be made."
