Improvements
Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, N.C.
Bids will be received as a Single-Prime project.
A Pre-Bid Conference wiH be held on April 9.
2002 at 9:00 a.m. at West Forsyth High School
in the Cafeteria Annex. All interested Bidders
should make plans to attend.

Bidding Documents may be examined in the
office of the Engineer. Stimmel Associates,
P.A., 305 West Fourth St., Suite 1-A. Winston
Salem, N.C., 336-723-1067; the facility offices
of WS/FC Schools, 1605 Miller St.. 336-727

General Contractors of America), Inc. office.

The Project consists of construction of new
entrance drives and asphalt pavement of
approximately 14,268 square yards, demolition
of existing entrance drives and asphalt pave
joent of approximately 11,170 square yards, seal
coating approximately 14.648 square yards of
existing asphalt pavement, striping, utility
work, storm drainage, clearing, grading, grass
ing, landscaping and site lighting.
All Contractors must have proper license in
accordance with state laws governing their
respective trades.
Bids must be on the standard form provided by
the Engineer.
Qualified Single-Prime General Contractors
may obtain a maximum of two copies of the
Bidding Documents, beginning April 1, 2002,
from Stimmel Associates, P.A., 305 West Fourth
St., Suite 1-A, Winston-Salem, N.C., upon a
deposit of $100.00 per set of documents. The
full deposit will be returned to Bidders upon
return of Bidding Documents in good, usable,
unmarked condition within 10 days after the
date set for receipt of Bids. After 10 days the
Bidder's deposit will be forfeited. Additional
copies of the Bidding Documents may be
obtained from the Engineer upon payment of
$2.50 per printed sheet for drawings and $0.25
per printed page of the Project Manual
(Specifications). Full sets of the Bidding
Documents may be purchased at the cost of
$100.00 per set. The purchase price is non
refundable. Refundable deposit is applicable to
Single-Prime General Contractors only.
Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding
. Documents in preparing Bids; neither the
I Owner nor Engineer assumes responsibility for
; errors or misinterpretations resulting from the
use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.
A Bid Guarantee equal to the sum of 5% of the
- Base Bid will be required with each Bid.
; A Payment and Performance Bond will be
* required each in the sun of 100% of the Contract

No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 30 days
. after the Bid opening.
' The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject

The Vice President of Student Development
Services is responsible for the supervision, coordi
nation, and administration of the Student
Development Services Division which includes:
admissions, recruiting and minority services,
placement testing, disability services. ADA,
records, student employment assistance. Women's
Resource Center, career and guidance counseling,
student data support services, and student activi
ties. The Vice President of Student Development
Services is also the chief student disciplinary offi
cer of the College.
Requirements:
? Master's degree in higher education administra
tion,
adult education, or counseling from an accredited
college or university.
? Five years' demonstrated successful
administrative experience in functional areas
of Student Development Services, preferably
at the post-secondary level.
? Knowledge of and commitment to the
community college concept: strong leadership
and communication skills; proven human
relations skills: ability to manage multiple tasks
and responsibilities; and strong problem-solving
and decision-making skills.
? Knowledge of federal and state laws, statutes,
rules and regulations regarding the rights of
students.
? Preferred: Doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.)
Vice President of Instructional Services
The Vice President of Instructional Services is the
chief academic officer of the college. Duties
include leadership and supervision of the transfer
curricula; vocational, technical, health, and busi
ness programs; developmental programs: and
learning resource center. The Vice President will
provide faculty leadership, program development,
community outreach, budget development, and
administration.
Requirements:
? Earned Doctorate from an accredited college
or university,
? Five years' experience in senior level educational
management.
? Collaborative leadership style, which encourages
teamwork and partnerships both internally and
externally.
? Experience with support development and
implementation of innovative instructional
delivery systems, including technology-based
education.
? Preferred: Teaching experience, preferably in a
community college setting.
