A true success story Gaddy SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE Whatever happened to Steven Gaddy, who worked at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.; went to Winston-Salem State Univer sity and managed, sang and played with Cosmic Energy, Keith Byrd and Gang. Well, I went into the most noble calling as a minister of music, guitarist at the old St. Peter's Apostolic Church on Highland Avenue under the min istry of Dr. R.K. Hash. I read in the paper this moming about the grand, new St. Peter's World Outreach, but anything that grand had to have a strong foundation to reach where it is today. A lot of people who are ministering else where now will get just as much crednin heaven and here on earth for our labof of-love toward that ministry. We are the foundation and still spiritually connected. Hash had a strong ministry and he instilled in us good, prac tical Christian principles that brought me to where I am today. Bishop and Mother Hash were very sweet role models to my family and me. We left St. Peter's in 1987 and went to Voice of Truth Min I istries in 1989. I was called into the ministry as a minister of the Gospel in 1987 while in the hos pital. I really gave my initial ser mon there. The Lord told me that I would proclaim his Second Coming through music and the spoken word. I delivered my ini tial sermon formally af-Voice of Truth under Pastor OrvIITe llgner in February 1992 on faith, what it is and how to use it. After going through many tri als and much study and media tion on the word of God and gaining a few pounds. I became proficient in the word of God. I prayed for wisdom and the knowledge to use it. I also made a quality decision that I really didn't have to be defeated, depressed or overweight or any thing"else the devil tried to bring my way. One year ago I made this decision and took a step of faith and started believing God's word was true and took charge of my life. Faith is plain and simple, as I was taught by one of my men tors. K.C. Treat of Washington state. Believe, speak and do. Believe God's word. Speak the promise or desire as found in His word. Faith without works is dead, according to Apostle James. The Bible says a righteous man may fall seven times and get back up. Well. I've been there, done that and weeping endured for a night, but now I have joy. I finally got my breakthrough. Malachi 3:10 says pay your tithes and offering and He will open up the windows of heaven and shower you with blessing. This past year, 2001 to 2(X)2, I became the CEO of Elohim Records, doing professional CDs, and since New Year I have %/ been blessed with ndttl'tfothes. new furniture, money | the very desire of my heart] A prophet prophesied New Tifir's night that this would happen.|ind that I was to record nine individ uals' and seven churches' CDs this year. I'm waiting on some body with that vision, for seeing isn't believing, but believing is seeing. So give me a call (Elohim Records at 336-785-3583). I also have a ministry. Glory to Gt>d in the Highest Church, and became an ordained minister of the gospel on Aug. 16. My most prized assignment is to min ister to men and women in serv ice to Christ. I'd like to thank, most of all. my Father God for sending His Son. Jesus Christ that 1 may have life, and the Holy Spirit, who is my teacher and mentor here on this earth and has allowed me to record eight of the 110 songs that he inspired me to write. I thank my beautiful wife and queen of 28 years, celebrating 29 in July, for what she endured to get us to this point. She's truly the strong one in my earthly walk. 1 thank my dad, Herbert H.
