Volunteer of the Year
Marion Pittman-Couch, a
principal in the city-county
school system, accepts her
Volunteer of the Year Award from
Dan Wilke of the Adam's Mark
Winston Plaza.
Pittman-Couch was cited for
her work with the city's Arts
Council. She is the chairperson of
the Arts Council board and is
playing a key role in helping the
council launch a number of ini
tiatives, including a mega-arts
festival slated for later this year.
Public Safety Officer of the Year
Patricia Norris accepts the
Public Safety Officer of the Year
Award from Jacqua Corry of B&C
Associates, a Freddie Mac repre
sentative.
Norris has been a member of the
city's Police Department for two
decades. Last year, she was named
assistant police chief.
