The guide quotes students who praise UNCG for offering a "high quality of education at a significantly reduced rate, while having the smaller classes allowing closer bonds between faculty and students." The guide surveyed 120,000 students (about 325 per campus on average) attending the 366 colleges. The 80-question survey asked students to rate their schools and report on their campus experiences. In a sidebar to each col lege's profile, the book lists topics students frequently agreed on in the survey. The UNCG students gave the uni versity high marks for its com puter facilities, library and athletic facilities. Other North Carolina schools in the guide include Catawba College. Davidson College. Duke University. Elon University, Guilford College. N.C. Stale University, UNC Asheville, UNC Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University and Warren Wilson College. The complete list is available at www.PrincetonReview.com. "We chose schools for this book primarily for their out standing academics," said Robert Franek, a Princeton Review vice president. "We evaluated them based on insti tutional data we collect about the schools, feedback from students attending them, and our visits to schools over the years. We also consider the opinions of independent col lege counselors, students, and parents we hear from year long."
