I The" Pfafftbwn Chapter of National Women of Achievement, Inc. held their Profiles .of Prominence Keeper's of the Dream Brunch on Saturday. June 6 at the Piedmont Club. . Achiever Ann Move was mistress of ceremonies. The opening song was "Only Believe." and the innovation was done by Achiever Victoria Hanchell. ..These other Achievers also took part in the pro gram: Tammy Watson (the welcome): Theresa Scott (poetry); Jeannette T. Lewis (grace): and Roberta Parson (benediction). The Dream Keepers Awards were presented to Flonnie T. Anderson for cul tural arts. She is a play wright. director, actress and teacher. She is presently operating her own theater company and is the produc er/director of The Flonnie Anderson Theatrical Association (FATA), where she is in rehearsal now or Jier musical "Remus," .which will be' staged -Aug. 14. 15 and 16 at Went/. Memorial. Her presenter was Achiever Jeannette T. Lewis. Janice Price wai also honored' for cultural arts. She is an actress, singer, for mer dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur, director, artis tic director, instructor, play wright. business owner and the artistic Director of the Summer Arts Camp and Drama Guild at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her presen ter was Achiever Billie Jean Gregory-Ford. The Rev. Dr. Linda Beal received the religion honor. She is founder and pastor of New Liberty Baptist Ministries and a facilitator and training advocate for domestic violence. Her pre senter was Achiever Valarie Harris. D'Walla. S. Burke was honored for music. She is presently the director of choral and vocal studies and coordinator of choral , vocal and -piano programs in the Fine Arts Department at Winston-Salem State University. Her presenter was Achiever Leeanna Lee. Dr. Chens M. Chase picked up the health care award. She is the Medical Director of the Forsyth Stroke and Neurovascular Center NeuroscienCes at Forsyth Medical Center. Her presenter was Achiever Debra Macbeth. Connie Fletcher received the business honor. She runs Connie's Catering Service along with her family. She has catered for many events, including ' weddings, anniversaries and events for sororities and fraternities. She has also lent her servic es to programs that help the homeless and the sick-and shut in. Her presenter was Achifcver Ann Moye. Dr. Marie Williams was honbred for education. She is an adjunct professor at WSSU in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, and an adjunct professor at Bennett College. Hex presenter was Achiever Gloria Frazier. After the presentations of honorees by their presenters, a toast was given by the Pfafftown Chapter Achievers and their guests to the honorees. Closing remarks were given by Achiever Leeanna Lee, president of the Pfafftown Chapter; Achiever Valarie Harris, Southeast Regional Director; and Achiever Jeannette T. Lewi&, National Executive Time Manager. Boone Gray Locals Boone and Gray complete Air Force training ?? SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE ? " . ? Air Force Airman Antwan A. Boone and Air Force Airman 1st Class Tiffany J. Gray have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare princi ples and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College Of the Air Force. He is the son of Angel Walker of Winston-Salem.
