BASKS Zalinor Bilkt, affectionately known as. "Tic-Tat" peacefully passed away on Monday, July 20, 200V at his home after an extended illness. He was born October 4. 1947 to Annie Mae and Willie Lee Banks He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served on I he Usher Board and was a retired employee of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was preceded in death by his parents. Remaining to honor his memory are his wife, Lucille; one son, Zalinor Banks, Jr.; three daughters, Tiwana Banks, Toshia Simmons, and Carlette Ewell; six grandchil dren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Iamissky (Emma) Banks, Gilbert (Wanda) Banks, and Wilbert Banks; three aunts; a devoted aunt and uncle, Josephine and John Howell; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at I p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009. from the Friendship Baptist Church. Reverend Stacy L. Frazier officiat ed. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery. She was born November 29, 1929 to Marion and Odessa Britton. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings. Theresa Haynesworth, Marion Davis, Thomas Britton. Mary Fair, and [Norma Britton; and a very special granddaughter whom she raised, Natasha Britton. She is survived by five children, Fred Britton, Deloris Britton, Gayle (Marvin) Foster, Renec (Billy) Bradly, and George (Marie) Britton; one sister. Barbara Jean Evans; eight grand children, Sharon, Shona. Omar, Elizabeth Britton, Jamel, Gerrod, Corey Bradly, and Marvin Foster; a host of great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other rela tives and friends. July 3 1 , 2009 at the Forsyth Medical Center. As a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, he attended the local public schools and was a student at Winston Salem Stale University. Mr. Gwyn was a licensed Certified Nur>ing Assistant and Phlebotomist . Spiritually, he was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and the Willie Mason And Friends Choir. Survivors are: wife, Vickie W. Reynolds Hospice Home after an extended period of illness. Roslyn attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and graduated from Anderson. High School. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served faithfully on the SBC Gospel Choir and Sheepfold Ministry. Rcislyn was an employee of the W.inston Salem Forsyth County Public School System for twenty-six years. Roslyn was preceded in death by her mother; grand mother, Christina "Mama Chris" Burton; brothers. Preston Burton, Sr., and Keith Burton; an aunt and uncle, Mattie L. and Robert Brady: and a dear cousin, Constance Amaker.
