The two thrift stores, located one block apart in downtown Winston-Salem (7th & Oak Street and 7th & Trade Street), have offered shoppers incredible deals on furniture, clothing. appliances and household items for years Now. those shoppers will be able to browse for bargains under one roof. The Rescue L J rescue mission merchandise from the small store, which offers clothing and house holditems, on Trade Street to the 40,000 square foot warehouse store on Oak Street last Friday. After much upfitting and refurbishing, the combined store was expected to open this week. Store sales account for nearly 25 percent of the min istry's overall operating rev enue, of which, close to 85 percent of every dollar goes directly to client programs and services.
