I was just finishing treatments for leukemia when my
heart began to retain fluid. It wasn't pumping adequately
and started to swell. It got so bad I couldn't walk down
the hallway. Thankfully, Forsyth has a dedicated heart
failure clinic with experts who made me feel like their
highest priority. I had heart surgery in April, and I
climbed Stone Mountain in August. That was awesome.
