It began with a meet and greet was held on July 20 at the Delta Arts Center. A cook-out took place at Hathaway Park the following day, and the family attended church services at Union Chapel Baptist on Sunday, July 21. During the reunion, gifts were presented to the oldest family member in atten dance, 85-year-old Robert Lee Smith of Winston Salem; and the youngest, seven-month-old Sloan Ari Aku Morton of Orlando, Fla. The family's oldest female in attendance was Aragatha Smith, who will celebrate her 80th birthday on Aug. 22. The motto of the Smith Ingram Family is "God, Love & Family (in that order)." The salon is located in Center Stage Shopping Center on Jonestown Road. Twenty-five-year-old owner/stylist Corey Durham started servicing clients at the new studio on Tuesday, July 31. The salon was previously located in the Hewitt Business Center on South Marshall Street. The new location will allow the salon to gain a wider clientele. It is currently the only black owned hair salon on Jonestown Road.
