Atkins Alumni Association, Inc. will host the Big 4 Weekend from Oct. 18-20. The Style Band, which is based out of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, will provide entertainment for the Alumni Dance, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20 horn 9 pm. - 1 am. at the Benton Convention Center. This group of musicians has stood the test of time and continues to deliver quality music and high energy per formances. They offer a well rounded sound and perform a variety of styles, from yester year's classics to today's con temporary flavor. The group has performed with musical artists such as the Four Tops, Kem, Musiq and Tony, Toni, Tone. The weekend celebration will begin on Thursday, Oct. 18 with a church worship service at 6:30 pxa. at Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church, 5095 Lansing Drive, where the pastor is Bishop Shelton McCarter. The guest speaker will be Dr. Sir Walter Mack Jr, pastor of Union Baptist Church. On Oct. 19 at noon, a Teachers Luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn Select, 5790 University Parkway.
