Peppers from page W Gnostics' notion that the physical is evil is crushed by the apostle. Jesus died a physical death to redeem. How then could that be evil? While there were oth ers who were raised from the dead, Jesus is the only one to die once. There is no need to add anything to the Gospel; it is complete! Therefore, Jesus is superi or in the church. Finally, Paul reminds the church of their Redemption. Knowing something special and obedience to the Law did not and will not save. The God-man whose blood was shed for the remission of sins is the ojily Salvation needed! The Gnostic ideology is a fluke because Jesus died in the flesh! That can't be ? evil, no matter how you twist it. Application: Before getting caught up in the "new," examine it first! That implies that the believer needs to know what the Scripture says. Studying alone is OK but hearing how God reveals Himself to others actually helps you grow too. Don't follow the crowd! Have you thought they could be wrong? If you are search ing for completeness, wholeness, and/or peace; Jesus is the answer, Jesus alone. False doctrine may appear inspiring at first, but it will lose its shine! Be rooted in Jesus who is the real thing. He is supreme over creation, in the church and for redemp tion. Praise HIM with your life, not just you lips! t $5'rabies vaccinations available Saturday SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE . A low cost rabies vaccination clinic, sponsored by the Forsyth County departments of Public Health and Animal Control, will be held at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter, 5570 Murmer Park Circle, on Saturday, Peb. 2. One-year vaccinations will be available for $5 from 9-11 a.m. for dogs, cats and ferrets only. Dogs must be leashed, and cats and ferrets must be in car riers. Rabies vaccinations are essential. If a dog or cat is exposed to a rabid animal, and does not have a current vaccination against the rabies virus, public health law requires the animal i be tested for the virus, or quarantined for a six 1 month period of observation for symptoms. An a animal can harbor the virus for months, but it is B only within the last few days of its life that it can fl be transmitted through a bite. Unfortunately, a dog or cat must be euthanized in order for it to be tested and not many pet owners can afford the cost of the six-month quarantine ?B at a veterinarian hospital. In 2012, Forsyth County Animal Shelter 1 officers responded to 927 reports of animal bites and exposures. Most exposures occur from pets coming in contact with high risk wildlife such as raccoons. Contact the Forsyth County Animal Control Department at 336-703-2480 for more information.
