The Atkins Camels have 10 returning play ers sprinkled with a few incoming fresh man. Head Coach Bronal Gary says that "expectations are higher" for his team this season. Unfortunately for the Camels that expe rience has not translated into wins on the court. The Camels are 0-4 on the season and still searching for their first win of the year. Last season Atkins accumulated seven wins and are looking to go well beyond that mark this season. "I'm expecting a little bit more than last year. To be honest I believe we are going over .500 this year," said Gary. Gary says that combo guard Thomas Hudson will be one of the players he needs to do well in order for his team to be suc cessful. Hudson is a returning starter from last season and will provide much needed leadership for the Camels. Gary said he does not want to put too much pressure on his incoming freshmen but thinks they can "contribute in a major way." "They bring a good dynamic to the team. Its been a while since Atkins has had this many incoming freshmen in the student body in general and so along with that came some good talent. I'm expecting some good things from them as well," Gary said of his freshmen players. Outside of achieving an above .500 record Gary says that he wants all of his players to buy into the system and play hard every game. He says if they do this as a team then he will deem this season a suc cess win or lose.
