Richard Burr is among the Republican lawmakers who've sworn to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA). Currently 20 million Americans pur chase their health insurance through the ACA, usually with the help of tax sub sidies that greatly lower their premiums. The law also ended the practice of denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions. Republicans are expected to start repeal efforts in January, which President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to sign into law, with plans to replace it later. The protest was one of many mobilized around the country by MoveOn.org. imn I | ^b^ M B I W
