MacqnTel egraplC , . -i A Dreadful Dude.! There was a live Dude at large yesterday at the passenger depot. He attracted the attention of half a" dozen "newsboysand "among themselves-they- began discussing the animal. They were probably laying plans to coax him back in to his cage. At any rate he heard one of the boys call him a. Dude; This made the Dude mad and he was about to fight the little news boy. The little newsboy he was about to attack was only ten or twelve years old. Yet we will bet a nickel that if that little boy had made a very wry face and started towards the Dude that ani mal would have took to its heels and not stopped this side of Chat tanooga. From its appearance that was about the size of it. Yet f that Dude could swear big ? oaths like a bold bad man. Knoxville (Tenn.) Tribune. Wheat at $3 a Bushel. 'We have not learned whether the gentleman has called fer the, pocket-book, but jhe question which naturally arises is, liov did it get there and what was the owner of it doing on the prem ises of Mr. Steinmetz on that par ticular evening Explanations are in order.
