Miss Josie Katzenstein, the accom- plishtfd youngest daughter of our j townsman, Mr. Emil Katzensteiu, has passed her examinations at school in Philadelphia making the highest marks possible. Wo are proud of her, and congratulate her and parents. Prof. John Graham accompanied by Misses Maria Graham, Relia Brame and Saliie M. Palmer are attendiug the N. C. Teachers' Assembly at Morehead City this week. Those four are splendid j representatives of Warren county's teachers but we wish all could have gone. . - For the benefit of those who do not know the law the street committee of our town ordered the following publish ed: -Sec. 31. Every person found uilty of throwing any filth or rubbish of any kind into the public streets or alleys m the town of Warrenton shall be fined five dollars for each offence. Mr. J. 0. Gardner, of Churchill, this county, one of our most thrifty citizens, had the misfortune to lose two good horses last week. The cause of their death is unknown. Mr. Gibbins and little child, of Suffolk, Va., are stopping at Mrs. Henry Williams. Miss Sue Fleming and Messrs. R. D, and Tommie Fleming, of Vaughau, were in town yesterday. Capt. F. M. Fitts, of Wilmington, was in town last Tuesday and paid TnE Record office a call. We are always glad to see Capt. Fitts. Dr. Rob. S.
