It had a true, manly ring and urged nobility of purpose, courge of conviction, and good moral character upou the citizens of the county as well as the gentlemeu of the ury. Them was no night service. We are glad to learn that Mr. Bronson has completely recovered. On Friday morning, just before day break Mrs. W. f. Johnson passed 'inietly away. The funeral services v cre held in the Baptist Chuicll Sat vrday atternoou at 4:30 p. in. Not withstanding the inconvenient hour, many uf tho business friends of Mr. Johnson were in the sympathetic crowd that gathered to pay their last respects to the dead. As the body was brought hhowly down the church aisle the choir Bang the first standi of "Asleep in Jesus," aud after it had been placed on tho fclools in frout of the rostrum, the Rev. C. N. Wharton, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church led in prayer. Then the choir sang the rest of the hymn. Mr. Wharton read the 90th. Psalm followed by the Rev. E. H. Davis, Pastor of the Methodist Church, who read 1 Cor. 15:20-50. The choir then sang the favorite hymn of the deceased "O Paradise I " The Rev. T. J.
