In the Federal Court at Raleigh last "week Mat Fain, Horace Hunt, Mioajah Minga, and Wade Robertson, of Macon, his county and all colored, were tried iand convicted of retailing liquor and reDtenced to imprisonment fn the War ten county jail for 30 dava and to pay a fine of $100.00 each. Game Warden W. C. Ellington has been getting in some good work recently iu bringing to justice those who attempt to ship birds out of the State m vio lation of the law. A Northern hunts man was arrested made to pay a fine of $15 00 and costs for shippiug birds end one' of our citizens in Fishing Creek township had to pay a fine of $10.00 and costs for oarrying the birds to the depot for this Northern man. The first quarterly meet ing for the Warrenton circuit will be held with the congregation at M icon on Dec. 31st and Jan. list. And still the big hogs are reported. Mr, S. E. Loyd, of Macon, killed three that, weighed 216 respectively and three that weighed 108 each. Mr. J. T. Haithoock, of Buck Springs, thia county, tells us tha ho killed 8 hogs that netted him 1"884 pounds of meat. We should help in this waj, to brighten the lives of our unfortunate poor on Christmas day. . The attorneys in the suit between Jas. R. Rodwell and O. L. Rowland for the Superior Court clerkship of Warren county have agreed upon a case and the same was argured before Judge A. L. Week in Raleigh yesterday. Mepsrs, Pittmau & Kerr appeared for Rodwell and Tasker Polk, B. G. Green aud Hawkins & Bickett appeared for Row laud. At the time of going to press Judge Webb had not rend red his decision, but it makes no difference which way he decides, the case will be appealed to th Supreme Court aud will come up for hnariug at the spring session of this Court. At four o'clock Wednesday after noon, Dec. 21 fit, Mr. George R. Frazier and Miss Hattie A. Cutl were nuited in marriage at the residence of Mr. John L. Curl, the father of the bride, Rev. T. J. Taylor officiated The parlor was beautifully decorated with mistletoe and holly. An immense bunch of mistletoe Irtiug in the centre of the room. Under this tho happy pair took the solemn vows of holy matrimony. The lovely bride was be comingly gowned in white china silk. She wore white chrysanthemums in her hair, and carried a bcuquet of. the same beautiful flowers in her hand The bride mid groom were preceeded into the parlor by Mr. Nat B. Curl, and Miss Helen Weldon. A large number of friends were present to wish the popular couple bon voyage. Ah enjoyable reception was given to Mr. and Mrs. Frazier at the residence of the groom's parents. NOTICE.
