elected will ride on a float at the
game. There will be a dance after!
the game. Date of the game was
set for November 16.

Honored At Party
Donald Denny, son of Mr. and
Mrs R. J. Denny was honored on
his fifth birthday with a Halloween
party at the home of his parents
from 4:30 till 6:30.
Various games and contests were
held during the afternoon. Mrs.
Mack Watson tcld ghost stories
which the small guests enjoyed
very much. Mrs. Marvin Raynor
told fortunes and Mr. Denny, dress
ed as Uncle Remus told Uncle Re
mus stories.
The pa-ty was held In the gar
age which struck a gay Halloween
! note with decorations of Jack-o-lan
terns, owls, black eats, witches and
j corn shucks. The two tables were
i covered with colofful Halloween
I cloths.
! Deviled eggs, glazed apples, ham
j biscuits, potato cnl ps’ pimento
! cheese sandwiches and pickles were
served the small guests.
| After singing Happy Birthday to

I ice cream was enjoyed. Crayons and

the 25-year-old princess and her
husband spent their last hours in
this capital like a couple of tourists
completing an all-too-short va
cation.

the State Sanitorium at McCain
after being at Duke Hospital for

weeks. He is reported much im

Mi’s. Sam Branch and their young
son, Jimmy Branch, who has been
ill with pneumonia but is report
ed improved. Mrs. Branch is the
former Miss Mary Ann Phelts.
Billy Parrish, who has been ser
ving with the Air Force in Tennes

D. Parrish. His new assignment
