son. who has been pastor of the ■
Frederick, Maryland Missionary
Baptist church for the past 35
years is recuperating at his home,
the parsonage, in Frederick follow
ing a cerebral hemorrhage suffered
some months ago.
Rev. Mr. Royal has been Identi
fied with varied community inter
ests in the Maryland town, having
done voluntary service in Boy Scout
organizations, and served as district
committee cha'rman and member
of the National Council and the
executive committc of the National
Capital Area Council. He had con
ferred upon him the Silver Beaver
award, given only for meritorious

Are Announced Today
Plans for the Warren-Wilborn
wedding on Sunday. November 11,
at the Lillington Baptist Church
were announced today by tbe bride,
Mies Gwendolyn Wilborn.
The marriage of Miss Wilborn.
younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Sion H. Wilborn of Lillington. to
Hannibal Godwin Warren of Char
lotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O.
Warren of Dunn, will be solemniz
ed in a five o’clock ceremony.
Dr. Casper Warren, pastor of the
First Baptist Church of Charlotte,
uncle of the bridegroom, will be
the officiating minister, assisted by
the Rev. T. W. Williams of Lulling
ton, pastor of the bride.
The bride will have Miss Mildred
Bradshcr of Lillington as maid of
honor, and Mrs. George Rives of
Mt. Airy, the former Miss Cleta
Nell Wilborn and only sister of the
bride, will serve as matron-of honor.
Bridesmaids will include Mrs. Reece
Duncan of Asheboro. the former
Miss Jo Bryan of Lillington, Mrs.
Monroe Gardner of Tarboro and
Mrs. Bobby Jones of Henderson.
Mrs. Gardner, the former Miss
Nell Bugg and Mrs. Jones, the
former Miss Sterling Moore, form
erly resided in Warrenton and were
classmates of Miss Wilborn at
Woman's College in Greensboro.
Both were in Lillington two weeks
ago as bridesmaids in the wedding
of Miss Jo Bryan and Reece Dun
can, a ceremony in which Miss
Wilborn also served as a brides*
maid.
The bridegroom will be attend
ed by his father, J. O. Warren of
Dunn, as best man, and grooms
men will include: Dick Warren of
Dunn and Wake Forest, brother of
