terday afternoon that was enjoy.ed very much by the guests attending the gay affair. During the after
noon games were played and coca colas, marshmallows and potato chips were enjoyed before the real

TEACHERS AND NEW W. C. MEMBERS
The Woman's Club of Dunn
honored its new members and the
Dunn school faculty at a tea in
the home of Mrs. Glenn Hooper
on S. Layton Ave. Thursday after
noon between the hours of 4:30
and 5:30 o'clock.
The home was beautiful in its
setting of Fall flowers. Arrange
ments of pyracantha berries graced
the beautiful table in the hall. The
dinning room table was covered
with an imported lace cloth and
centered with yellow chrysan
themums in an antique silver tureen
. and silver branched candlelabra
holding yellow candles. White,
1 bronze, purple and yellow chrys
anthemums were used throughout
1 the spacious home.
Mrs. Guyton Smith and Mrs.
Louis Stephens greeted guests at
the door. Mrs. Glenn L. Hooper
directed them to the music room
where Mrs. Paul Waggoner In
troduced them to the receiving
score for the ladies in the evening*
play and was presented a novelty
planter holding ivy from the hos
tess. Norwood Stephenson received
a tie for high score for the men. 1
A delicious dessert consisting of
doughnuts topped with ice cream
and chocolate syrup was served
with cashew nuts and coffee. Dur
ing play mints were passed. ' V
