Cranford, the club president, and also Mrs. W. P. Byrd, Mrs. B P. Oentry, Mrs. Joel O. Layton, Mrs. J. N. Fuquay, Mrs. W. M. Bryan, Mrs. McKay and Mrs. Hunter, all olub members. Friendly Bridge Club to Celebrate First Anniversary .Thfe Friendly’ Bridge Cldb Which will mark the first anniversary of its organization within two weeks, will celebrate the occasion with a dinner to be given oh the night of February i, at the home of Mis. Meredith 8. Senter. Husbands and escorts of members will be special guests and bridge and canasta will follow. Plans for the anniversary event were made as the club met for its regular fortnightly,meeting on Fri day night with Mrs. Joe Brown as hostess. A dessert course of strawberry shortcake and coffee was served guests on arrival. In the bridge games that followed at two tables the winner of high score and traveling prizes was Mrs. Billy Ray Matthews. Miss Neill Parker received a renjpmbrance for high score among guests. Cokes and chocolate-coated nuts, were served during the games. Members playing were Miss Vir ginia Coggins. Mrs. Billy Ray Mat thews, Mrs. M. S. Senter. Mrs. Joe Bordeaux, Mrs. W. T. Simmons, Jr., Mrs. George Carroll, Jr., the latter welcomed as a new member. Guests included Miss Nell Parker and Mrs. Harry Schafran. ON TRIP Pfc. and Mrs. Fred Cross left Friday on a trip to Eustis, Fla, home town of Mrs. Cross. Private Cross is stationed at Ft. Bragg and he and Mrs. Cross reside at the J. B. Gourlay apartment. VISIT IN FLORIDA Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Bradley and their daughter, Miss Betsy Love Bradley, have gone to Ft. LaudCrdale, Fla., for a visit with Mr. Bradley's sister, Mrs. Edward A.
