Hie meeting opened with a song “My Faith Looks Up to Thee," followed by prayer led by Mrs. Lula Purchase. Another song, *1 Would Be True” Was sung. Mrs. Lillie Gainey was in charge of the program. Scripture taken frgm John waa read by Mis. M. MrTart, followed by a group pray er. Readings “Mpw Courage,” “Abundant Life” and a “New Year’s Prayer” were read by Mrs. t Jesse Alphin, Mrs. Jeff Sercy and Mrs. George J. Jemigan. Mrs. Mae Hobson and Mrs. Eldon Martin ren | dered a special song, “Under HU Wings.” The group sang “Onward Cliristlan Soldiers,” ending the program, after which a shot busi ness meeting was held, presided ov«u by Miss Marguarlte Wooten, president. A delicious cold plate was served the group consisting of chioken sal ad, deviled eggs, curled carrots, pickles, apple pie and coffee, the >meal was served by Circles No. 2 and |3. Circle No. 4 was in charge of the prograih. Mrs. Lewis Jeffreys open ed the meeting with a song “I Would Be True” and read the scripture followed with prayer by Mrs. Wil liam Carroll. Miss Anne and Betty Jeffreys sang a duet “It Is No Sec ret What God Can Do.” Mrs. Jeffreys Introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Lincoln Faulk, who gave a splendid talk on "Steward ship” which was enjoyed by all the group. Mrs. Grace Swain, presi dent of the group expressed apprec iation to Mr. Faulk for the splendid talk and welcomed Mrs. Faulk into the group. Mrs. Swain reminded that the Christian Fellowship would meet at the local church for their district meeting March 28-29. The meeting was adjourned with prayer by Mr. Faulk. Around forty five members were present for the evening. Peter- Youth Group At Lee's Grove * Holds Meeting The young people Os Lee’s Grove community met - last Thursday night at the church. The meeting Was called to or der by the vice president, Katherine Coats. The secretary called the roll and gave the report of the treasurer. After the business part of the meeting was carried out. the vise president turned the meeting over to Reba Altman, program chair man. Two congregational songs were led by Mrs. Lottie Weeks. After ward there were requests for pray er, and then prayer. A special was sung by* Mrs. Lot tie Weeks and Frances Weeks. Later Gardner Altman asked a few Bible questions. We had a closing prayer.
