ning, honoring their son, Jesse, on

course barbecue dinner was serv
ed at seven o'clock. The following
guests were classmates of the hon
ored from Campbell College. John

Drury, and Jesse H. Byrd, Jr. Later
in the evening Mrs. J. P. Crumpler
served refreshments of cake and
coco colas to the boys and Misses
HaUie Bethune, Toni Wilkins, and
Betty Byrd Crumpler at her home.
The Methodist Youth Fellowship
entertained at a folk festival Thurs
day night, February 14, in the high
school auditorium under the di
rection of Mrs. Wayman Melvin
youth director. Folk -games and
square dancing, and cak walk
were enjoyed by every one. The
Woman's Society sold sandwiches
and drinks.
