Lucius J. Lane, well known bus
iness' man of Benson, returned to
his, home here Sunday from Duke
Hospital, Durham where he was
a -patient for three weeks. Although
confined to his room he is improv
ing satisfactory.

Women, will be directed locally by
the co-operative efforts of Lilling
ton and Summerville churches. The
prayer ritual, built about the
theme, “Christ, Our Hope” will be
exactly the same which will be in
use that day around the world.
From dawn on the Fiji Island* to
dusk on the arctic St. Lawrence,
women of many nations will join
in the same prayer for a better

vice will benefit Christian work

and Parent-Teacher Associations,

other communities in the county
have been invited to attend.
The proposed safety organization
will include all of these leaders, the
program chairman stated.

from Second to First Lieutenant in
the Army. Lieutenant Johnson, who
is stationed at Roswell, New Mex
ico, is an Air Force-navigator with
the Strategic Air Command.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Long and
young son, Paul Leland Long, have
gone to Chattanooga, Tenn., foe a
visit with Mrs. Long’s parents. Mr.

to be away for two weeks.
