Miss Westbrook had a very fine exhibit of some of the work her seventh and eighth grade pupils, have done. This work is one of the great needs of the Elemen tary grades. There are many boys and girls that can exceed in man ual arts that cannot do as well as SQR)e Qf their fellow pupils in a formal education. This is equally as important in life as the white collar, Jflbs. Ow schools should be equipped for this kind of work all through -the grades. Most pupils, who drop oqt of school at an early age would remain in the classroom If there were courses in. which they could exoeefl. Miss Westbrook is doing some very fine work along this line.
