ence of a few of the relatives and
friends of the couple.
In the absence of her father,
the bride was given in marriage
by her brother-in-law, the Honor- ,
able W. J. Bryan Dorn, congress
man from South Carolina. She was 1
attended by a sister, Mrs. William 1
Marshall Wright of Falls Church, '
Virginia. Mr. Sven Goran Stackig
acted as best man for the groom. 1
Mrs. Sven Goran Stackig, the for- 1
mer Beverly Beckett, sang a few
appropriate numbers before and i
during the ceremony accompanied
by her mother.
The bride wore a navy blue suit ;
and a small mesh hat with lilies
of-the-valley interspersed on the
crown. Her accessories were whjte 1
and she wore a white orchid.
A wedding supper followed the ;
ceremony served by Mrs. William
H. Truesdell, Jr. of Washington.
D. C., a sister of the bride, and
Mrs. Edgar Beckett, the groom’s

He is a student at the University
of Maryland and plans, after grad
uation, to prepare himself for the
ministery in the Methodist Church.

coke party Tuesday morning at 11
o’clock at the Raynor home in Carr.

Miss Cromartle, who will be mar
ried to Lester Lloyd Coats Sunday
was presented a lovely white car
nation corsage and a piece of china
in her chosen pattern from the
hostesses.
The Raynor home was beautiflly
arranged for the occasion with an
arrangement of iris and jonquils
and other spring flowers in the j
living room. The dining room table
held a floral arrangement of pink
roses and pink carnations with
fern as a centerpiece.
The guests, who called at l?i00.
were served tempting refreshments
of chicken salad sandwiches, as
sorted open-faced sandwiches, pick
les, potato chips, cup cakes and
cokes.
