The first shoe of cake was in traditional fashion by the bri dal couple and completed by Mrs. O.' W. Godwin, Sr., mother of the bride. Mrs. A. F. Furr, mother of the groom, poured punch. Nuts, mints and ice cream in the shape of wedding slippers, were served by Miss Margaret Godwin, Miss Connie Hester, Miss Hilda Simpson, Miss Betty Talley, and Miss Nora Ellen Faulkner. The gift loom was attractively set up and decorated. I __ Miss Massengill Honored Friday At Dessert Bridge , Miss Elvira Massengill, who on April 26 will become the bride of Mr. Dick Taylor of Muleshoe. Tex as. was honored at dessert bridge oh Friday night at eight o’clock. Miss Katherine Taylor was hostess for the event. The honoree found her place marked with a novel corsage of a wedding band showered with lily of the valley. Each guest received a miniature corsage fashioned identically to that | of the bride.
