WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, APRIL 23, 1952 MRS. CICCONE ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB AND GUESTS LAST NIGHT Mrs. Frank DeCarlo of Rochester, I N. Y. was the honored guest last j night when Mrs. John Ciccone en-j tertained members of the Friendly j Dozen bridge club and other guests at an evening of bridge. Mrs De- ! Carlo is a sister-in-law of the | hostess, and with her daughter, i Debbie, is spending two weeks with the Ciccones. Attractive arrangements of mix ed spring flowers were used about j the rooms where the tables were i arranged for play. Red rosebuds in crystal vases added beauty to the rooms. Between progressions, the hos tess passed trays of ham and pimento cheese sandwiches, pick les, potato chips, cheese biscuits, brownies, and iced drinks. When scores were tallied at the end of the evening, the award for club high and the traveling prize went to Mrs. G C. Mitehell. Mrs Ed Hood was second high, and Mrs. N. M. Johnson Jr. received the guest award. Purple and white iris, multi-col ored snapdragons and other spring flowers were used in an attractive centerpiece for the tea table and other advantage points in the re ception room. Mrs. Mildred B. Poole, principal of the school poured tea during the party and dainty refreshments of iced ctfkes, toasted nuts and mints were served.. Church Monday Monday evening the Christian Women’s Fellowship Group of Hood Memorial Christian Church held their regular monthly meeting in the Fellowship Room of the church Mrs. James Britt, leader of Circle II announced the opening hymn “Love Lifted Me” and she then read the scripture verses for the meeting. - There was no program as the business to be attended filled the hour.
