PAGE EIGHT ERWIN SOCIETY Fete Recent Bride By Erwin Shower Miss Vickie Taylor delightfully entertained at a miscellaneous shower at the Park Center Club Building Saturday evening, feting Mrs. "Moody’* Graham, a recent bride. Mrs. Graham is the former Mir", Ethel Williams. The club house was beautifully decorated for the event. The gift table was covered with a white cloth and centered with, an ar- j rangement of mixed flowers in colorful autumn shades. When the honoree arrived she was given a lovely corsage of red roses and shown to her place be side the gift table. Mrs. Margaret Lawrence direct ed the guests in seve a! ea nee and contests and prizes where awarded the winners. r| ’hs honoree then opened hei ghts and passed them around for evervone to fee. Featured speaker was Dr. Robert B. McKenzie. Fayetteville physician and humorist. The speaker once played a role in the musical "Show Beat" and has had wide experience as a professional actor. He gave amusing take-offs on school vale dictorian talks, meetings and com mencements. but in closing paid a ! sincere tribute to the teaching pro- j session and called on Rotarians to visited her mother, Mrs. R. CAMPBELL CHILD HAS POLIO I Friends in Lillington were re j cently notified that Sandra Caimi ) bell, six year old daughter of Mr. j and Mrs. Alex Campbell of Win i ston-Salem, was stricken two weeks i ago with polio. Physicians report that the child had a light attack of the disease but will require physiotherapy treat- | ments for two or three months. Sandra is an only child and her parents who made their home in ! Lillington for several years have many friends here. They were liv ; ing in Lillington when their daugh ter was born. At that time Mr. Campbell was with the old Tripple A and is now with the federal vet erans administration. Mr. and Mrs. R. B.
